Sacramento RiverSacramento River

Proposed National Conservation Area

Just 10 minutes from Interstate 5, the proposed NCA is an easily accessible, low-elevation landscape boasting now-rare oak woodlands and 25 miles of some of California's last intact riparian habitat. This stretch of the Sacramento River hosts some of the best salmon and steelhead trout spawning grounds in California. It is a great place for canoeing, fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, and mountain biking.
