Cady Mountains

Proposed Wilderness Area

Cady MountainsGeologically active, this colorful and rugged range challenges rockhounders, hikers, and photographers. Highways I-15 and I-40 bracket the range and provide easy access from Los Angeles and Barstow. Unique hanging sand dunes support a rich diversity of specialized plants and animals and offer opportunities for original scientific research. Bighorn sheep roam the higher peaks.
