The region offers an astounding profusion of wildflowers and views as far south as Yosemite and as far north as Mount Shasta. The area provides outstanding winter, spring and fall hiking and horseback riding when the Sierra Nevada is covered in snow. The Blue Ridge trail offers the closest wilderness experience to people living in Sacramento and Solano Counties.
