Round-Up 2010 A Big Success!
Thank you to all who came out to make Round-Up 2010 a success! Round-Up 2010 was the sixth annual retreat for California’s wilderness staff, activists and volunteers. The weather was sunny and wildlife abundant in the beautiful Los Padres National Forest for this year’s trip. The middle Santa Ynez Campground served as base camp, from which there was a beautiful hike and a trip to the hot springs Saturday night. As Annette Kondo, Communications Director for The Wilderness Society in the California/Nevada region so eloquently put it:
"When you literally walk in the beauty of Indian Creek - sloshing through this riparian gem - and see the wonders of the Los Padres, it makes it crystal clear why this area has to be protected. Meeting all the dedicated volunteers who want to keep this region wild and seeing the land through their eyes was fantastic."
Thank you for all of your support for California’s wilderness, we hope to see you next year!
