San Diego County Wilderness and Wild Rivers

San Diego County has over 10 potential Wilderness and Wild River designations that our teams of conservationists have identified.  We are working on the ground with community groups to identify and protect these landscapes.  We've been making great strides.  

The newly designated Beauty Mountain Wilderness in Riverside County is adjacent to lands in Congressman Darrell Issa's (R-Vista) district. "The Beauty Mountain and Agua Tibia Wilderness Act" which would designate 21,000 acres of wilderness, was re-introduced in 2011 and is awaiting action in committee.  

These lands have breathtaking views, critical habitat, and important recreation areas for the citizens of Southern California.
