Scenic Trips add to quality of living

By Angelica Huato-Nelson

Letter to the Editor - Editor: I appreciate your article on the introduction of a bill to protect nearly 40,000 acres in the Eastern Sierra as wilderness and designate the Amargosa River as wild and scenic. We pride ourselves on the quality of life in Santa Clarita. Part of that quality is being able to take relatively short trips to visit natural wonders such as the Hoover Wilderness Additions.

As our population continues to rapidly grow in Southern California, we need to protect our remaining wild heritage so that future generations can enjoy these places, too. I thank Rep. McKeon for his leadership and efforts to do just that.
