Thanks, Mr. McKeon, for wilderness bill

Letter to Editor - Editor: I want to thank Rep. Buck McKeon for introducing wilderness legislation (The Signal, May 24). While protecting scenic portions of the Eastern Sierra and the Amargosa River, this is a good bill for the entire district. It preserves our economic, cultural, natural and recreational values. Preserving public lands helps create jobs, boosts incomes and raise property values.

The congressman is creating a legacy of opportunity-an opportunity for future generations to visit and enjoy these wild places just as we do today.
