hoover compromise

Letter to the Editor - I am extremely pleased reading the Mammoth Times coverage of the Hoover Wilderness Compromise. It is good to know that our community is working together to find solutions that will benefit everyone, and it is even better to know that we have a Congressman like Buck McKeon, who is willing to take locally developed compromises and fight for their passage in Washington, D.C. As a local lodge owner, much of our business depends on the tourists that our majestic mountains attract. The introduction of the "Eastern Sierra Rural Heritage and Economic Enhancement Act" is a reason for all of Mono County to celebrate. Let us hope it is quickly enacted.
