Phil La Rocca, the owner and vintner of La Rocca Vineyards, was able to take time out of his busy schedule to talk to the Campaign and explain how his business is environment-friendly. Q&A Phil LaRoccaQ. Why did you join CWHC? A. CWHC is a solid organization that will fight for environmental protection. Q. What is the focus of your business. A. Our focus is to create a product that is both healthy and wholesome to people and nature. Q. How does your focus relate to nature/the environment. A. We use no synthetic chemicals – at all – we only use farming practices that nurtures the earth; not just take from it. Q. What drew you to the Campaign. A. Dave Reckess [California Wild Heritage Campaign’s North Coast Organizer]. Q. Why should businesses care about the environment. A. We’re one universe – everything and everybody is a part of a whole – hopefully wholesystic. Q. Where can our activists find you. A. You can find me at my winery – making a living organically.
