Horny Toad

Horny ToadWith a goal of "creating inspired, outdoor clothing for those who embrace adventure everyday", Horny Toad is known for their high-quality, comfortable and stylish men's and women's clothing.

Horny Toad also has a reputation for their involvement with the environmental community. Horny Toad is a member of the California Wild Heritage Campaign's Wild Alliance and has helped support many of the Campaign's goals. Most recently, Horny Toad wrote an op-ed in support of the reintroduction of the California Wild Heritage Act.

The Campaign caught up with Tami Snow, Horny Toad's Marketing Director, in order to interview her for our Coalition Member Spotlight. Tami was able to discuss Horny Toad's mission more in depth and how their mission relates to wilderness, wild rivers and protecting the environment.

Q&A Tami Snow

Q. Why did you join CWHC

A. We enjoy collaborating with like-minded local and regional organizations
and combining our strengths to work toward a bigger goal.

Q. What is the focus of your business

A. Horny Toad makes clothes for those that seek adventure, every day.

Q. How does your focus relate to nature/the environment

A. We've been a part of the so-called "outdoor industry" since we started 10 years ago, but our goal these days is to remind people that interacting with the environment isn't just what you do up at Yosemite or down in Santa Monica ... it's an everyday thing.

Q. What drew you to the Campaign

A. As a California-based company, these are our natural resources to protect. These
are our playgrounds, our sanctuaries, and the places we need to recharge our batteries.

Q. Why should businesses care about the environment

A. Businesses are the new citizens. It's a natural role for companies like Horny Toad to stand up for what they care about. A group can bring more resources, more creativity, and more success to the table of any organization.

Q. Where can our activists find you

A. Check us out at www.hornytoad.com. You can learn a lot about us there.

Q. Word Association: What instantly comes to mind when you hear the word wilderness

A. Bewildering vastness. A piece of land (or ocean) set aside to grow wild.
